Hey Guys,

In this thread, I'll be sharing some of the frequently asked questions and providing self-help video tutorials covering the basics. We'll also address common issues and offer step-by-step solutions that subscribers often encounter.

1. Unable to view channels - How to resolve and rasie a work Order


Tata Play has rolled out a great feature. If you've ever had signal troubles or needed a technician visit for some harware issue but fixed the issue yourself or through other means like through customer care, now you can reschedule or cancel the technician's visit hassle-free right from the Tata Play App. Not just this you can also track the service request and check status . No more waiting around!

Earlier there was no such option and one had to wait for the technician to arrive only to let him know that issue is fixed, or one had to inform the .customer care.

Steps:

1. Go to Tata Play Mobile App.
2. Click on Get Help icon in the home page.
3. Then click on Get Help Assistant.
4. Select Unable to View option.
5. Follow On Screen Instructions to resolve thw issue.
6. If still not able to view the services, continue with On-Screen instructions to arrange for a Technician Visit. (Visit & Material Charges may apply)
7. If Okay with the same then continue and choose date and time for visit and click on Submit.
8. A confirmation SMS will be sent on the Registered Mobile Number.

Cancel Technician Visit, Re-Schedule Visit and track Word Order options available (Pls see above video).

2. How to Add-Drop Channels and Packs ?


Steps:


1. Go to Tata Play Mobile App.
2. Choose manage pack icon on the home screen.
3. Choose the STB for which chaaanges are to be made
- Primary STB
- Secondary STB
4. Click Modify Pack/Channels.
5. Select desired option from the list.
- Quick Add Channels
- Drop Channels
- Modify Current Pack
- Type in Channel Name/LCN
6. Select the channel you wish to add / drop and click Confirm.
7. Keep the STB in ON mode when making changes.
8. Once confimed, a confirmation page will appear with the changes done.

3. How to know your Pack Details ?


Now you can get to know the following details like (below) right from the Tata Play Mobile App.
- Subscriber ID
- Account Balance
- Monthly Recharge Amount
- Next Recharge Date
- Package Details

Steps:

1. Open the Tata Play Mobile App
2. Click on Manage Pack option from Home Screen
3. Following Details will be available for the Subscriber to verify:
- Base Pack
- Regional Pack
- Add-on Pack
- A la Carte Channels

4. How to find your Subscriber ID ?


Now find your Tata Play Subscriber ID by following these simple steps

1. Press the Yellow Button on the Tata Play Remote when the STB is in ON mode.
2. You will find a 10 digital number on the corner of the screen.
3. Additonally you can even press GUIDE button on the remote to find the Subscriber ID at the bottom left corner of the menu
4. Can even give a missed call from RMN to 080-6199-9911 to receive a reply with Subscriber ID

5. How can you lock/Unlock a Channel ?



Now you can Lock any channel or TVShow/Episode, to do this:

Steps:

1. Press the Organiser/Settings button on the Tata Play Remote.
2. Select Parental Control Option
3. Enter 4 digit PIN, by default its set to "0000"
4. Select Channel Lockout Options
5. Select the desired channels you wish to lock. (Only 20 Channels can be locked at a time)
6. Press BLUE button to confirm selection

To unlock a channel temporarily to view them,
- Simply navigate to the desired locked channel
- Enter the 4 digit PIN tio unlock and view the channels
- Channel will remain locked again if you switch to another channel.

To Unlock a channel Permanently-

1. Press the Organiser/Settings button on the Tata Play Remote.
2. Select Parental Control Option
3. Enter 4 digit PIN, by default its set to "0000"
4. Select Channel Lockout Options
5. Select the desired channels you wish to unlock.
6. Press BLUE button to confirm selection

6. Help & Support for DTH Binge Subscribers


Steps:


1. Open the Tata Play Binge Mobile App
2. Click on Hamburger Menu on the left
3. Click on "My Plan" to refer to your Exisiting Plan

Already Recharged Binge Pack, but not able to view the Services ?
- Go to Settings in the App
- Click on account Refresh

7. How to set your preferred language ?


Now you can use Tata Play in your desired language:

Steps:

1. Click on Organiser/Settings button on the remote.
2. Go to user settings
3. Select Language Settings
4. Select On screen Language - and choose from the given options to set the language of you choice
5. Click on BLUE button to confirm the choice
6. The on screen language will change to the langauge of your selection instantly.

8. How to find your favorite channels using the remote ?


Now easily find your favorite channels on the Set-Top-Box

- Select GUIDE button on the remote
- Select the desired categories from the list
- A list of all the available channels from that category will appear
- Choose the desired channel by using arrow up/down buttons and click on select button to confirm

9. How to recharge and avail Emergency Top-Ups?


Want to know hoe to initiate a recharge for your Tata Play account???

Steps:

1. Open the Tata Play Mobile App
2. Click on Recharge option on the home screen
3. Validate the Subscriber ID and enter the desired recharge amount
4. Click on Continue
5. Make sure the Set-Top-Box is in ON mode before recharge, click on Continue
6. Select the payment option from the list and proceed
7. Once recharge is done, a confirmation SMS will be sent across to the RMN.

If unable to view channels/services post recharge:
- Click on "Sync Your Set-Top-Box" option, ensure the STB is kept in ON mode.

Missed to Recharge the Tata Play Account by the Due Date and Account is Deactivated - Now avail emergency top-up equivalent to Three (3) days of the subscription.
- To avail, give missed call on 080-6199-9999 from your RMN
- This option can be taken within 7 days after the recharge due date
- Emergency Top up Amount credited will be auto-debited from the account after 3 days after date of credit
