1. One can upgrade a HD or HD-PVR to get UHD STB for Rs.5900
2. UHD box does not support recording.
3. Rs.5900 *include* the content cost of World Cup in 4K. No need buy any additional package.

The STB will be priced higher coz they dont want to make loss on UHD like they are making loss on HD boxes currently. 2nd they dont get a bulk discount deal as there is very few demand for 4K boxes due less penetration of 4K tvs. The prices will come down by half in 2-3 years.

Just compare STB price with UHD TV price bro. U will see cost of STB is only 1 or 2 % of the cost of TV

So if u can bear the TV cost then there shouldn't be any problem
