Tata Sky HD or Airtel HD? Need advice

Hello Friends,

I need help in choosing the best DTH (HD Recorder facility) for my parent's home in Kerala. I have zeroed in on TS, but Airtel is the second choice. My requirements/queries are as follows:

1. TS or Airtel best during rains in Kerala?
2. If TS, whether to buy via Amazon or TS site? (Don't need transfer facilities, as BSNL broadband speed at home is abysmal)
3. Main requirements are Sports Channels (HD) and Malayalam Channels. Which bouquet is cost effective?

Would appreciate your inputs.

Go for tatasky......
I bought it from tatasky website. The hardware quality and the service provided is top quality in tata sky, while airtel dvr was not a great experience for me except one plus point that all hd channels are available in one hd pack (Including ten hd)
And the main important feature for me was management of channel packages etc on mytatasky.com, its a breeze to do anything on that website, I havent called once to tatasky customer care in the span of 5yrs for change in package or some other complaint...all can be done online.
But the same is pathetic on airtel's website....
I don't know much about south packages, but still I will recommend to go with tatasky.
