As an unbiased observer, here is my opinion :

Pros of SD : Low monthly cost, provides usb recording, has sports and English channels even on lower packs, good pq.
Cons of SD: transponder crunch, low hd channels, low roi channels, time based channels (like KIX being removed after Copa America).

Pros of TS: High HD channels count, good pq, high number of roi channels, STBs manufactured by renowned companies (like Samsung, Technicolor), offers 500gb dual tuner DVR, have surplus TP space.
Cons of TS: Higher cost, Ten network is an addon.

I mostly watch Sports and English Movies channels. Sun Direct is offering these channels in cheap price this is the reason I am using it. I completely agree with Tata Sky viewers that it is better than Sun Direct for ROI Subscribers but may be in ROI some subscribers like me are more interested in English channels than Hindi channels. Most popular Hindi channels like Star Plus, Zee TV, Colors TV, Life Ok and Sony Entertainment are available in all DTH in base packages.

When I bought a new LED Tv, I decided to upgrade to :hd STB.
I had not joined this forum by then.

Before upgrading I decided to just check other DTH companies.
I opened the website of all 6 DTH companies and 1 by 1 I began to check package, price, No. Of channels etc.

When I reached Sun Direct website, by looking at it, in 15-20 seconds Only I said to myself that this company must be a south based company.
