Gabbar Singh 2 gets a start date

The sequel for Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster Gabbar Singh has been the centre of speculation from a long time. This project was supposed to begin long back, but since Pawan Kalyan got busy with the political activities, it had been delayed. Young story writer KS Ravindra, who shot to fame with ‘Power’ ,will handle the direction of Gabbar Singh 2.
As per the latest reports, the makers have confirmed that regular shooting will commence from May 4th. Reports also say that there will be a complete changeover in the characterization of the lead role and it will be different from Gabbar Singh.
Anisha Ambrose has been roped in as the female lead and music sensation Devi Sri Prasad will score tunes. Sharath Marar, who is a close friend of Pawan Kalyan,will produce this movie on Northstar Entertainments banner.
 
S/O Satyamurthy first day collections

The successful combination of Trivikram Srinivas and Allu Arjun have done it yet again. The movie has opened to packed houses and according to the latest update, the film has collected 9.34 crores on the first day of its release. Here is the break up according to the area wise.

Suriya’s ‘24’ in legal tangle

Soon after Suriya’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, ‘24’, was launched day before yesterday, the film immediately ran into a legal problem. Popular Bollywood star Anil Kapoor’s legal advisers Naik & Naik Company has sent a legal notice to Suriya’s production house 2D Entertainment over the alleged copying of the title and the logo design of Anil Kapoor’s hit Hindi series ‘24’.
Anil Kapoor purchased the remake rights of popular English TV series, ‘24’, and remade it on Colors TV Channel last year. The film had a successful 1st season and Anil has been toying with the idea of commencing the second season soon. Alleging that Suriya’s ‘24’ is a copyright infringement, Anil sent him a notice and hoped that the matter will be resolved amicably.
‘24’ is being directed by Vikram Kumar of ‘Manam’ fame and has Samantha playing the female lead. AR Rahman composes the music. More cast and crew details of the film are awaited.
 
More trouble for Kamal Haasan

We all know that Kamal’s latest flick, Uttama Villain has been threatened for a ban by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Now, according to the latest update, a renowned Muslim organization has come in support of VHP and have filed a case on the Kamal Starrer.
According to the petition, some lyrics in one of the songs in the film represent the Hindus in a derogatory way. This is not the first time that Kamal has had release problems. Even for Vishwaroopam, Kamal faced similar situations from Muslim organizations and struggled a lot to release his film.
The makers of this film are yet to respond on this petition. Slated to hit the screens on May 1st, Uttama Villain is directed by Ramesh Aravind and has many stalwarts in major roles
 
Taapsee reveals her struggle for Muni 3

Raghava Lawrence is no mood to relax these days as far as his upcoming film Muni 3 is concerned. He’s playing the lead role, apart from directing the film and Taapsee is the lead actress.
In an earlier interview, Taapsee had claimed that this was by far her most challenging role and also her first horror comedy. Now, it looks like she’s going all out and put extra efforts for the film. The talented actress further revealed that she had worked very hard for two long years and her role will be a turning point in her career.
Raghava Lawrence, on the other hand, is confident that this film will be much more funnier and scarier compared to Kanchana. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the Telugu version and the film is all set for a massive release on April 17th.
 
3 Star Directors for Kaththi Telugu Remake


Its almost official that Jr NTR will be playing the lead in Telugu remake of Tamil superhit 'Kaththi'. Now, The search is for a Director who could do justice for this Message-Oriented Flick.
As per Insiders, Tagore Madhu who acquired the Telugu remake/dubbing rights of 'Kaththi' is keen on roping VV Vinayak as the director the movie. As Vinay will wrap up the shoot of Akhil's launch pad by September this year, There is every chance of this Ace Filmmaker taking up the project.
The other two options were Harish Shankar and Gopichand Malineni. In Today's interview, Harish Shankar expressed his willingness to direct Tarak again with a solid script for compensating the debacle of 'Ramayya Vastavayya'. On the other hand, Gopi will be more than happy to direct Junior after 'Pandaga Chesko' and that too with a potential script. Let's see who will be lucky enough!
 
Kajal caught Sleeping on the SETS!

Kajal Agarwal was caught sleeping on the sets of her upcoming Tamil movie starring Vishal in lead role and directed of Suseenthiran of 'Naa Peru Shiva' fame. May be, These four people were too tired to walk till their rooms/vanity vans for a nap. The 'Magadheera' Star is looking drop-dead gorgeous here. Isn't she? Kajal mayn't be in a great position when this picture has been shot. Still, She makes an positive impression and that's the real stamina of a Rockstar!
 
Charmme injured on ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ sets

Actress Charmme, who has been shooting for her upcoming film in Puri Jagannadh’s direction, has been injured on the sets of ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ in Goa. The actress was performing in a stunt scene where a stuntman mistimed his blow and struck Charmme’s face with a hockey stick.
Soon after the mishap, Charmme was rushed to a local hospital where she received treatment and took rest for 6 hours. The actress then returned to the sets and finished the fight scene after taking painkillers and injections.
Needless to say, the unit members appreciated Charmme’s professionalism. ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ will complete its shoot by this month end and the film will release in May.
