Yes buddy. That agreement covers which channels to share and which not to. All other FTA channels are Encrypted with a key. Hope you got it.

How can you so sure about it. Look there are so many FTA channels in RDTV platform and all are not shared buddy.
If they can share then sun direct should have shared all these channels and Increased the total count. No operators wont hesitate to add a channel in there platform if it is available from any other sources. For Eg Consider the case of Dish tv. They are smarter and going more smarter by trying to make a contract with ISRO for getting the GSAT tps before the launch. Its a smart move to say at the existing allignment and there by saving a very good amount by utilising the DDFD tps.

but why all fta channels.......tv company must enter into a contract with a company to show that channel on a particular dth....if it is fta channel then the channel would pay amount to that dth or vice versa in the case Of pay channels.....Of course sun direct is not having not much subscriber base in roi...So thats the problem....

You are actually speaking about career fees. It depends from channel to channel. If a channel is having good rating and is a FTA,then if sun wishes they can add the channels without collecting any Carrier fees, but the channel owner should provide it. Similary if a channel operator want to be on a particular platform then they can also contact sun direct to host there channel.

Sun direct doestnt have a good subscriber base in ROI. Ok you are right but they will try to collect as much as customers from the market by providing more and more channels. There intial strategy as per some internal surces is to add some ROI channels by paying some carrier fees based on a special agreement. Once they get sufficient support they will start to take fees from them gradually. Another thing is the Rest of India channels are almost Pay channels in Hindi. In other languages they wont intial collect any carrier fees. The fist case is mainly applicable to some music channels and so on.

s.....Of course.....but fta channels only pay for dth....Roi does not mean hindi only....Contract between two parties is must...There is no issue in sharing rdtv tps

Haahaa :D .We cant call a channel pay channel if it gives a carrier fees. Some FTA channels wont pay carrier fees but its been put of platform based on there rating.
Yes bro thats already told by me, A contract is clearly available.
There is no issue in sharing anyones tp if they allow it. If RDTV encrypt any then they wont get it. Its as simple as that.
