May be SD channel price increases but HD channel price decrease.

Highly doubtful. They won't lessen the prices of their popular HD channels.
HD subscribers are anyway less. They will feel they can sell them at 20rs a-la carte.

I believe TRAI is hands in glove with channels like Zee, Star because as far as me (end customer) is concerned, I used to get all channels in ₹780 per month including 2nd set top box. But now at same price, I can barely get 15 channels most of them are in HD. So big FU to TRAI and their pathetic attempt in trying to be customer friendly. I have moved over to OTT platforms and it is actually cheaper with the option to watch same content on all our devices.
Amazon Prime ₹999 + Hotstar ₹999 + Netflix ₹2400 (yearly shared price) + ₹450 Zee5 + ₹450 Sony LIV. Total comes to roughly half the price of Tatasky yearly connection with just 15 channels. Simple maths. Some people are getting away with installing hacked/illegal APKs on their Android TV boxes but as Farhan Akhtar would say...I don't want to go into any details.
