Was this in 2000? Because that was the last time I had heard of those rates as a little kid. TN is so subsidized even today with low rates in everything its not even funny.

The biggest problem with me is wanting or not I have to subscribe the channels for the whole month i.e I cannot activate the channel whenever I want. I have thought to reduce my monthly television bills but I can't find anyway and this makes me frustrated. In my home my Mom watches all saas bahu so we need channels like Star and Zee, My father watches sports and hindi movies so we need channels like Max, Zee Cinema, Star Gold and finally my brother likes to watch only English Movies and Hindi Movies , for me even I watch TV or not it doesn't matter. Now this takes my bill to atleast 350.

During the analog age, the picture quality is poor compared to the digital settop box age. Can't compare the then prices to the current one

How the NCF is being shared currently among broadcaster, DPO, govt etc?

the amount DPO charges for NCF per subscriber, 18% of that goes to Govt.

wrong to say so. There is no govt/broadcaster share in ncf. NCF fully goes to DPO. govt take 18% gst on total price(NCF+channel).

I don't think there's any tax on a cable operator if their turnover is less than 20 lakhs per year. It might be 40 lakhs now. I haven't kept up with this.
