NCF - Network Capacity Fee

Videocon dth website mentions:
  • ₹ 130 for first 75 pay channels + 25 mandatory Doordarshan channels
  • Additional NCF of ₹ 20 for every block of 25 pay channels
  • In case any subscriber wants to avail only FTA channels, the NCF will be ₹ 130
  • 1 HD channel = 2 SD channels
Thus it means, minimum NCF is ₹ 130 + 18% GST = ₹ 153.4
All FTA (Free to Air) Channels do not have additional NCF.
All Bouquets do not have additional NCF.
Only ala-carte pay channels have additional NCF.
There are 536 FTA Channels. So one can add all these 536 channels & pay ₹ 153.4 as NCF.
This ₹ 153.4 NCF includes 75 pay channels + 25 mandatory Doordarshan channels.

If one chooses only Bouquets + all FTA Channels, then only ₹ 153.4 NCF charges are applicable.
If one chooses additional 75 SD channels (considering 1 HD as 2 SD channels here) as ala-carte then also NCF remains at ₹ 153.4.

Considering that most will go for bouquets + FTA + few Pay channels, practically NCF remains ₹ 153.4.

P.S. NOTE THAT THESE ARE INFERRED FROM CURRENT AVAILABLE INFO. THERE MIGHT BE CORRECTION REQUIRED IF INFO GETS UPDATED.

Practically ncf remain 130 is false. At 130 you get 75 sd chs or 37 hd chs. So if you subscribe more than 37 hd chs your ncf will go above 130. 75 SD pay chs quota is a big number so very few people watch that much amount but 37 hd chs are a very small number.

Number of ch in bouquet will be counted in100 chs ncf.

From this link, Channel Bouquets I have chosen 9 bouquets which have 59 HD + 65 SD channels, but still NCF is Rs.130 only. 1 HD = 2 SD would make the total count as 59*2 + 65 = 183, but still NCF is Rs. 130 here.

This means bouquet channels do not count towards the NCF. So NCF remains at Rs. 130 only.
