Breaking W.e.f 8th March Star Network Channels will be removed from base pack

There is nothing to suffer for Airtel, they have took a great decision by not increasing pack prices and going by Star's words. Already all SD star channels will be available in pack for free as they have said. Only HD channels remain, In TN mostly people watch Star Vijay :HD (35 Rs) and if they need they watch Star Sports HD :1 for IPL if they need. As many of them are using low level packs only they will surely subscribe to Star only for IPL and later they will unsubscribe it. Mostly lifestyle and infotainment channels will get hurt as mostly no one will pay for it to watch it in Tamil Nadu except few. So Star only suffer.

Last year they had a similar issue with ZEE Network and they gave Zee RIO freetopup to all which contained all ZEE channels. So everyone got more channels what they already got it in packs. Then Zee and Airtel sorted it out in a week.

They will sort this also as they have clearly mentioned this as temporary issue.

Part 1 is painful bro we have to pay extra 100 Rs for few channels in addition to our existing Subscription for me it will reach nearly 600 in Internet TV and normal HD users will have to pay nearly 500.

Part 2 is good how fast Airtel-Star reach an agreement it will be good for all.

They are replacing 5 Star HD channels with &prive HD, LF HD, Jeet HD, D Sport HD, Disney HD. But out of these 5 channels, we are already getting 3 channels. So, can't we do anything to get different channels in place of that??

Airtel would do anything if they can. It's out of their hands. Atleast they are providing SD channels at free of cost.

You cannot restrict spending on a TV show/flim/sports or put salary cap on artist/sports star who put up shows on your TV, If spending is more on shows and broadcaster have to pay heavy amount to artist then increase in content pricing is bound to happen that's the argument of broadcaster in court.
