Its not BARC that releases these charts, they are actually created by channel insiders and shared with the public through different sources. Among all the versions, the most commonly referenced one is the Urban 15-50 SD chart, which is why we usually see ratings based on that chart.
Then why do they release the SD chart.. HD should also be there

Ratings for Hindi GEC Channels

1. Sony SAB: 183(+7)
2. Star Plus: 162(+9)
3. Colors: 145(+7)

Most channels started recovering their grps after Diwali holidays.

Charts creation mainly depends on which advertisers the channel is targeting. The charts are created based on the type of ads they want to attract and they are primarily used for internal analysis or to share trp insights with their targeted advertisers. However, some of these charts get leaked to the public even though they were never meant for general release.

Each channel maintains its own set of charts. For instance, Zee has its own version called MF Urban 15+ but it isnt publicly released.

The chart shared on the first page actually comes from Star India’s internal sources.

Also, if you look at the difference between SD and SD+HD trps, it’s usually minimal, around 0.2 at most and that too mainly for shows with trp above 1.5. HD channels generate at max 0.2 trps.

I always wonder that who the "source" is, who keeps releasing the charts & day-wise TRP in a timely, routine manner.
I can bet Star India does know about it and still doesn't care about it or maybe they even support these release of TRPs. Any company willing to stop this could have stopped it by now.

The question is why are they allowing the public to see these TRP charts ?

I think they dont stop these leaks because it actually works in their favor. By letting the charts circulate online, star can subtly show a limited group of itv fans, advertisers, media houses that their shows are leading hindi tv space. It creates buzz and reinforces the image that star dominates the trp game, so they have no reason to stop it.

On the other hand, you wont see other channels doing the same because their shows usually arent performing that well. There was one week when Zee’s Tum Se Tum Tak and another show achieved good trps, and that week someone from Zee also released their internal chart. But after that, they didnt continue.

Its quite similar to how major channels release pie charts or performance graphs whenever they do well in a particular segment. But when their numbers drop, they simply stay silent and avoid releasing anything. The situation here is basically the same, just happening in a more indirect/unofficial way.

Why are start up shows failing in india? .
Reason not being appealing globally. Its being built as replica instead of giving a desi touch .

How many company are been successful from these shows , i can only think of whole truth company thats it
There are so many success stories from STI. It's moreover a show with lot of technical terms and analysis. Audience where shows like bigg boss runs for which you can just turn off your brain and watch while shark tank needs focus. Core audience is not suitable and that's why they get a lot of views offline on YouTube. You can check some of the pitches have crazy 30M views on YouTube
