Zee has limited movie rights hence its testing waters if Kerala audience would prefer Hindi Movies. Especially youth and men prefer Hindi and English movies. With Trai tarrif coming people might not subscribe to Hindi packages but Hindi movies in Malayalam channels is a good idea. No wonder channel was named Zee Keralam and not Zee. Zee after all has entered strong hold of Stars Asianet celebrating 25 yrs and Sun's Surya celebrating 20 years.
Zee Keralam recently gave it's promotion contract to a Kerala based advertising agency. Sun direct just added Zee Keralam.
Sa RE GA MA PA launching soon. All this will give boost to Zee.

Is the audio dolby? Or just crap stereo output like mazhavil Manorama?
Surya HD audio is also good. Especially for movies

It's not Dolby bro. First they put in EPG as DD+. But I not got audio. Irritated. It's crab stereo only. Asianet the original audio.

It's not Dolby bro. First they put in EPG as DD+. But I not got audio. Irritated. It's crab stereo only. Asianet the original audio.

TS has done this for a number of channels. Channels that support only DD are so-called ‘upgraded’ to DD+. Thereby the audio is destroyed. No non-Star channel (other than Zee's & channels) is supposed to have DD+, yet TS has put it for a number of non-Star channels. On the other hand a Star channel (Fox Life HD) does not even have DD on TS, let alone DD+! Every other DTH has DD audio.
