This is a very wondrous news..! Like Disney's aquisition of Fox and Discovery WB merger globally. Actually Zee wants a strong fund source and Sony seeks for expanding their content library. This situation lead for their merger. Zee is very strong in regional entertainment and Sony is good at Sports. Both are fair at Hindi entertainment & Movies. This Fair + Fair results a big best in Hindi genre. I believe SET, SAB, Zee TV, Max, Zee Cinema will continue. Sony should sacrifice their Marathi, Bangla channels against Zee.
While Zee concentrates on Regional channels Sony will give attention to English, Sports, Infotainment genres. Both will serve equal attention over Hindi genre.
ZEE5 should shutdown and include a Zee HUB on Sony Liv.

Sony Aath needs shutdown but they should keep Sony Marathi because it's getting average viewership it may increase and they may grow in future, closing the channel would make no changes.
If Sony wanted to shutdown Sony Marathi why would they invest this much for channel?
They are bringing big budget Indian idol in Marathi, Old Hit Sony serials remake in Marathi,
historical/mythological serials this means they want to grow in Marathi market and are not going to shutdown their channel in future for sure.
If they don't want to turn Zee Yuva into youth gec then they may shutdown it.

We will get more content in single OTT of both Zee & Sony Network
