WBD will be up for sale in the next 3-5 years but I don't think it will be sold to Disney/Comcast. It will put them again into a debt trap.

Microsoft Gaming division needs IP to mint games for their Xbox Game Pass. So they maybe looking at WBD.

Apple is also looking at Entertainment as a complimentary additional to their product/service and they are yet to make any huge investment in gaming and don't have a particular department working on. Purchasing WBD will be a huge boost for them.

I believe it will be the Tech companies that will go for WBD to build their Metaverse or Gaming division. That is the future.

Completely agree with you, Disney is not in a position to buy studio, things are not well in comcast, Disney basically looking for ip which they can turn into blockbuster franchise, it's some people from Facebook/reddit are always shouting, x will buy sony, y will buy sony. They are ignoring a simple fact sony is bringing everything under one umbrella be it tech, tv or games, so they can utilize all of them, mainly those games which can be turned into cinematic universe. Sony boss also said they spend 18 billion in next 3 years for acquisition. 1.6 billion into zee is part of that. Sony recently acquired industrial media, crunchy roll, bad wolf. Bad wolf is the producer of doctor who which sony wants to convert into a cinematic universe

Sony is doing well as an arms dealer in the streaming war. Why would they need to buy a company with a huge debt of $40B+? Sony hasn't made any acquisition in the ballpark of $10B. Also buying WBD will mean redundant departments in both companies like Movie Studio, Televison Studio, Gaming Studio. Also they will be stuck with two business which they aren't interested in like linear cable business and streaming business.

Doesn't even make sense for Sony to take a peak at WBD.

Sony Pictures television studios doing very good, they have blockbuster tv shows like boys, breaking bad, better caul saul, cobra kai, apple tv for all mankind and many more, even Disney + is in talks with spt studios. They are earning good from licensing, why will they sold tv assets, they might shut down tv channels which they are doing in many countries. The fact is neither of the big studios interested in launching more tv channels except India where television has a scope
