They will shut down all the frontlines channels like Zee Sony, Sab, Max, Zee cinema and club there hits show at new channel after diwali, they are also working on rebranding of there major channels with new logo and new brand name. Remaining regional channels will rebrand in next year.

In indian television if anyone doing something different is sony, what exactly others are doing? Please don't tell star, colors have new shows, except sony the other 3 are showing same saas bahu crap which obviously are nationwide popular because majority audience love these crap. Sony shows are not popular nationwide but it got viewers in metro cities & urban & another good thing is they don't stretch for more than 1000 episodes except tarak mehta. Sony sab always in top 10 in trp chart not just because of tarak mehta, other shows have contributions too

Sony Japan has $20B in cash reserves while Microsoft has $110B. Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is successful but like you said quality wise they maybe lacking. That's why they're in acquiring more gaming studios than Sony.

Microsoft is a Tech company. Sony is an Electronics giant. Anyday Tech Companies have an edge over Other firms. Microsoft should focus more on artists (Basically Story Writers) They have The World's best developers working for them.
