there is a difference between with and to. if the name retains as culver max. then both zee and sony pictures entertainment india will be the owners of culver max. it is unlikely that the name will be retained.
zee wont be a sony company.
With/to in this context what matters is they want to create a single business entity. SPNI changed its corporate name to CME for this very purpose to avoid any such impressions. Zee wont be a Sony Company or Vice Versa. They both will be part of (or) share holders of CME.

Initially they will continue with CME. Merger makes CME a listed entity too and would continue as ZEEL in NSE.

Later, they can change the business/corporate name & listing name too accordingly.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (All Zee Channels) and Bangla Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. (Sony Aath & Sony Marathi) will amalgamate with Culver Max Entertainment Pvt Ltd. (Formerly, Sony Pictures Networks India).

Culver Max Entertainment (CME) will be the parent company of both Sony & Zee JV in India.
I think Sony Marathi is part of Sony Pictures Networks India not Bangla Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

I think Sony Marathi is part of Sony Pictures Networks India not Bangla Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
No, Sony Marathi (Granted permission by MIB as Sony Tec) is a part of BEPL, Subsidiary of CME (Erstwhile SPNI).

All the best to network who buys this channels. Anyway how would it work if they're selling only channels and the content is still owned by ZEE?
No only channel to be sold not content. And I still don't understand why they are saying not to sell it to Disney star or Viacom. How will it effect the competition just having a channel.
Zee should sell big network instead of only channel those contents aren't useful for them. So that would be a great offer to 3rd ring parties
