d2h launches d2h magic stick voice-enabled at Rs 1199

DTH operator d2h has launched d2h magic stick voice-enabled (with Alexa) at Rs 1199/- MRP including GST.

DTH operator d2h has launched d2h Magic Stick Voice-enabled (with Alexa) at Rs 1199/- MRP including GST. The monthly service fee is priced at Rs 49 + GST. The stick is available with an introductory offer of no service fees for the first 3 months, first spotted by DreamDTH.

DreamDTH exclusively accessed a copy of the mail sent out by the Sales and Service Dept of d2h announcing the launch of the new stick.

d2h magic (Alexa built-in) is an accessory for existing subscribers of d2h which provides access to a world of OTT apps such as ZEE5, ALT Balaji, Sony LIV, Hungama Play, Watco and a huge library of videos, shows, and web-series. It consists of a voice remote and one Wi-Fi & Bluetooth dongle.

The subscription for OTT apps will have to be taken separately. The device is only compatible with the V-7000-HD RF box. It is currently available only in select cities and pin codes. There is a six month warranty period for the d2h Magic (Alexa built-in).

More than 30,000 Alexa skills available in India can be tried. The launch comes around 3 months after the d2h magic stick was launched and 2 months after Dish TV had launched Dish SMRT Kit at Rs 1199.

Dish SMRT Kit is a voice enabled kit with a dongle and remote powered by Amazon Alexa which allows subscribers to access popular OTT Apps and thousands of Alexa skills on their existing set top boxes.
