Lex Sportel Vision on Tuesday became the fifth broadcaster to publicly publish its new Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) in compliance with the provisions of the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services (Eighth) (Addressable Systems) Tariff (Second Amendment) Order, 2020 and the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Interconnection (Addressable Systems) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2020 dated 1st January 2020.
The new RIO in line with NTO 2.0 is now live on the 1Sports website. Lex Sportel Vision has continued with the existing a-la-carte price of Rs 4 for its sports channel 1Sports. With just one standalone offering which isn’t part of any bouquets, Lex Sportel Vision has only had to make small changes to its RIO to become NTO 2.0 compliant.
Lex Sportel Vision is offering a maximum of 15% discount on the MRP to distribution platform operators if they can ensure penetration of 30% and above in the authorized area of the operator.
Mavis Satcom, CSL Infomedia, IN10 Media, Odisha TV, and now Lex Sportel Vision are the five broadcasters as of now to publish their Reference Interconnect Offer with NTO 2.0. The real count however may differ with broadcasters mandated to file RIOs initially through TRAI’s B&CS portal and simultaneously publish the RIO on their website. The latter doesn’t happen all the time in sync with the submission of RIO to TRAI digitally.
