MIB cancels ‘The MGM’ satellite TV channel license

MIB post the cancellation has now cancelled 340 TV licenses till date as per it’s database reducing the permitted satellite TV channel database to 900 as of yesterday.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) yesterday updated it’s cancelled TV channel database with the cancellation of MGM PROGRAMMING SERVICES INDIA PVT. LTD’s satellite TV channel license named ‘The MGM’.

MIB post the cancellation has now cancelled 340 TV licenses till date as per it’s database reducing the permitted satellite TV channel database to 900 as of yesterday.

MGM PROGRAMMING SERVICES INDIA PVT. LTD. was granted permission to launch ‘The MGM’ on 30th May 2008 to operate in ‘NON-NEWS’ category with downlinking permission. The channel’s license was cancelled on 22nd March 2021 with cancellation reason given as ‘Not Required’.
