The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has recently dropped multiple TV channels from its permitted satellite TV channel repository available publicly. C-10 News, BFLIX MOVIES, Bhojpuri Dhamaka Dishum, and National Voice Uttar Pradesh/Uttrakhand are among the few TV licenses dropped from the database.
The TV licenses in all likelihood have been cancelled by the Ministry although the same cannot be confirmed currently since MIB’s cancelled TV channels repository available publicly remains un-updated since January 2022.
The Ministry however has cancelled 1 TV channel each in March and April 2022 apart from the surrender of 5 TV channels in May 2022 as per disclosure to the cabinet. MIB in January 2022 cancelled 13 TV channels whereas its cancelled TV channels repository available publicly only lists 12 TV channels cancelled during January 2022 currently.
