MIB grants 13 MSO licenses in December 2020 – February 2021 period

The number of permitted MSOSs with the new licenses has reached a staggering 1715 as of 1st March 2021.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) in the recent past has granted 13 new MSO licenses to various companies between December 2020 to February 2021 as per new data released by MIB earlier this month. The number of permitted MSOSs with the new licenses has reached a staggering 1715 as of 1st March 2021.

In December 2020, MIB granted MSO license to Indira Cable Network, Rewari Cable Network, Rakesh Chauhan, Digital Service Provider, Udyan Digital Cable Service Private Limited, Samosune Cablenet Private Limited, and Shri Bhagvati Satellite.

In January 2021, MIB granted MSO license to G.N.S Cable Network, Bajrang Dish Antina, and Aishwarya Chaitra Cable Network.

In February 2021, MIB granted MSO license to Ranchi Digital, Sherie Plexus, and DEB TV.

MIB earlier in October-November 2020 period had granted 7 new MSO licenses to Dnet Entertainment, Sampat Harisingh Digital & Broadband Networks, Global Telecom, BSL Cable Netwok, RCN Cable and Broadband Pvt Ltd, City Online and Media Pvt Ltd, and JK Communication and Satellite Network.
