MIB grants renamed TV license to Pratham Khabar 24×7, Sri Venkateswara Bhakti channel, and 3 others

5 TV licenses recently renamed by MIB updated in its permitted satellite TV channels database.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today updated its permitted satellite TV channel database with the renaming of multiple TV licenses including Pratham Khabar 24×7 and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti channel among many others. The renaming of these TV licenses might have taken place earlier but was updated in the ministry’s public database today.

Cimco Project’s ‘Devam‘ TV license has been renamed as ‘Pratham Khabar 24×7’. The TV license was initially granted on 2nd July 2021 named ‘Devam’ in the ‘Non-News’ category. The license was earlier this year switched to the ‘News and Current Affairs‘ category. The TV license has permission to broadcast in all Indian scheduled languages including English and Hindi. The license is authorised for uplinking and downlinking and operates from GSAT-17, an Indian satellite.

Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel Private Limited’s ‘Sri Venkateswara’ TV license has been renamed as ‘Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti channel’. The TV license was initially granted on 9th November 2007 named ‘Sri Venkateshwara’. The TV license has permission to broadcast in all Indian scheduled languages including Telugu. The license is authorised for uplinking and downlinking and operates from GSAT-30, an Indian satellite.

Viacom18 Media Private Limited’s ‘Rishtey Cineplex’, ‘Sports18’, and ‘Sports18 HD’ TV license has been renamed as ‘Colors Cineplex Superhits‘, ‘Sports18 1’, and ‘Sports18 1 HD’ respectively.

Viacom18’s ‘Rishtey Cineplex‘ TV license was initially granted on 26th August 2011 named ‘V.18 Movies’ before being subsequently renamed ‘Colors International’ and ‘MTV Indies’ on different occasions. The TV license has permission to broadcast in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The license is authorised for uplinking and downlinking and operates from Intelsat 20, a foreign satellite.

‘Sports18’ TV license was initially granted as ‘Pick-A-Trick‘ on 10th June 2021 before being renamed as ‘Sports18’. The TV license has permission to broadcast in all Indian scheduled languages including English and Hindi. The license is authorised for uplinking and downlinking and operates from Intelsat-20, a foreign satellite.

‘Sports18 HD’ TV license was initially granted as ‘Connected’ on 10th June 2021 before being renamed as ‘Sports18 HD’. The TV license has permission to broadcast in all Indian scheduled languages including English and Hindi. The license is authorised for uplinking and downlinking and operates from Intelsat-20, a foreign satellite.
