MIB renames ‘Box Cinema’ TV license to make way for ‘Atrangii’

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed Box Cinemedia Services Private Limited’s existing satellite TV channel license to make way for ‘Atrangii’.

The Ministry renamed Box Cinemedia’s ‘Box Cinema’ satellite TV channel license. The ‘Non-News and Current Affairs’ category TV channel license was initially granted on 12th November 2018 named ‘Box Cinema’.

The license is authorized to broadcast in Hindi and all Indian scheduled languages with both uplinking and downlinking permission. The license is authorized to broadcast from GSAT-30, an Indian satellite.

The Ministry recently also renamed Information TV Private Limited’s existing satellite TV channel license ‘NE News’ to pave the way for ‘India News Business’.
