MIB renames ‘Zingaat’ satellite TV Channel license to ‘Sant Wani’

The license was earlier known as ‘Zingaat’, ‘E Awaz India’, ‘AINDI’, and ‘Tulsi TV’ apart from ‘Vedas OM TV’ indicating a possible sub-letting of TV license on many occasions.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) today incorporated the renaming of the ‘Zingaat’ satellite TV channel license to ‘Sant Wani’. The satellite TV channel license is held by Exclusive Vision Media Limited which also holds another satellite TV channel license named Lord Buddha TV.

The license was initially granted in the name of ‘Vedas OM TV’ on 2nd March 2015 which was subsequently renamed multiple times. The license was earlier known as ‘Zingaat’, ‘E Awaz India’, ‘AINDI’, and ‘Tulsi TV’ apart from ‘Vedas OM TV’ indicating a possible sub-letting of TV license on many occasions.

The license will now be in the name of ‘Sant Wani’. According to the trademark registry, the logo was registered on 12th February 2018 by Vaibhav Tatyal. The license is a NON-NEWS category license allowing to broadcast in English, Hindi, and all Indian schedule languages with permission to uplink and downlink from GSAT-30.

In other news, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on New Year’s Day 2021 granted a new satellite TV channel license to Ashirwad Multimedia Private Limited to operate a new channel under the ‘Ashirwad’ branding.
