Pay Direct to Home (DTH) operator Sun Direct has revamped its ‘My Sun Direct’ app in the beta program on the Play Store for Android. Beta testers who have joined the beta program can experience the new features in the revamped ‘My Sun Direct’ app before the new version is officially launched.

The break came courtesy of our community forum member Kannadiga who is on the beta version of the app. The ‘What’s New’ listing reveals that the app has received multiple new features for Sun Direct customers.

The revamped app has an easy and quick recharge session enabled with long duration subscription. It has enabled multiple month subscription for all packs including add-ons. It has a recommended pack section to suggest packages to its customers.

The app now offers flexible subscription management with quick and easy subscription renewals with detailed display of active subscription.

The revamped app displays the wallet balance as per the latest transaction with date and displays packs of all sorts. It has also added ‘Pack Comparison’ feature to allow customers to compare packs to choose the best suited package. It has a detailed display of the active subscriptions as well.

Sun Direct customers can now refresh their set-top box from the app itself and manage their registered complaints as well.

The upgrade in app notably comes at a point of time when Sun Direct is the lone DTH operator which is not a part of TRAI’s recently launched Channel Selector application. Whether the upgrade in app will be a precursor to Sun Direct onboarding TRAI’s new integrated app remains to be seen.
