NDTV ends pay cuts for all employees

New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) in a BSE filing stated that the company had ended pay cuts for all employees that was introduced on April 1, 2020 as measure on account of the economic uncertainty caused by the pandemic.

NDTV had imposed a pay cut of 10-40% on a graded scale based on different salary slabs with employees earning Rs 50,000 per month or less exempt from the pay cut.

The company had reversed the pay cuts ranging up to 20% on August 1, 2020. NDTV has now after a careful review ended the pay cuts for all employees who were impacted by the 20-40% cut. The pay cuts have been reversed effective October 1, 2020, with arrears for the month of October to be paid before Diwali.

The company further expressed its gratitude to all its employees for their unwavering support and thanked its senior staff for ensuring that the junior employees were protected during the pandemic.
