IndusInd Media and Communications Limited on Friday told the Telecom Disputes and Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) that it was keen for the interim arrangement to be changed and liberty to act as per the new agreement with Indiacast Media Limited.
NXT had earlier in April end changed the placement of all India Cast channel shifting it to the end of the respective genres even beyond FTA channels. This was followed by an issue of disconnection notice by India cast which wanted to maintain the status quo with respect to LCN enjoyed by India cast channels prior to its being disturbed on 24th April 2020.
The tribunal earlier this month had heard NXT plea against the disconnection notice and ruled that India cast would enjoy old LCN placement under the old agreement on NXT Digital for a period of two weeks as an interim order while both parties negotiated.
However, it seems that the dialogues and negotiations between both the parties haven’t brought any result with NXT Digital pushing for changing of interim arrangement and liberty to act as per new agreement.
Indiacast counsel didn’t appear due to personal difficulty. The tribunal in view of the entire facts and circumstances has extended the interim arrangement till the next date of hearing which is scheduled next week. Both parties can bring on record any subsequent developments by filing an appropriate application.
