Sahara One Media and Entertainment Limited registers 120 lakhs loss in Q1 FY 19-20. Equipment leasing business sees a massive reduction in revenue.

Sahara One Media & Entertainment Limited today announced its unaudited consolidated and standalone results for the quarter ending June 30, 2019.

Sahara registered consolidated revenue of Rs 258.15 lakhs in the quarter ending June 30, 2019, as compared to Rs 990.42 lakhs in the previous quarter. Sahara’s Television business registered a revenue of Rs 8.61 lakhs as compared to Rs 9.13 lakhs in the previous quarter. Motions pictures segment had no movement in this quarter whereas in the last quarter it generated Rs 0.15 lakhs revenue. The huge chunk of revenue came from equipment leasing which stood at Rs 244.18 lakhs as compared to Rs 976.60 lakhs in the previous quarter.

The company suffered a total loss of Rs 120.14 lakhs after tax as compared to a loss of Rs 218.10 lakhs in the previous quarter. The company made a profit of Rs 12.94 lakhs in the equipment leasing segment as compared to a loss of Rs 67.38 lakhs in the previous quarter.

At the time of going to press Sahara One Media & Entertainment was trading at Rs 19.
