Star India Private Limited rebrands to JioStar India Private Limited

The company has not yet revealed their logo and working website as of now.

Star India Private Limited, formerly known as Disney Star, has changed its corporate name to JioStar India Private Limited. This change was initiated with immediate effect starting from 8th May 2025.

JioStar, the company name which came into force via a joint venture between Viacom18 and Disney Star, was used without any official announcement, but now JioStar Private Limited has been named and formed officially. Now all the information, executions, updates regarding RIO, or any other strategic plans for TV channels or OTT platform will come under JioStar India Private Limited.

Since the merger and official rebrand process, JioStar has still not launched its logo and website. After six months, the current website is still under development, and its functions are broken. On the other hand, the JioStar logo has been seen on many social media posts and events, but it hasn’t been launched precisely.

Colors channels have already started using the JioStar company name on their information banner since the merger while the Star TV management team is yet to do the same on their channels. On a side note, Disney+ Hotstar has also been replaced by JioHotstar on both Colors and Star channels end banner.
