Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has today reduced the referral award of its Tata Sky Refer N Earn program from Rs 300 to Rs 200. The change was made early morning today.
Until yesterday, the DTH operator was offering a reward of Rs 300 as part of its Refer N Earn program. However, from today the DTH operator will only provide Rs 200 reward as part of its Refer N Earn program.
DreamDTH spoke to Tata Sky regarding the developments. Tata Sky representative Jitender Sharma said, “Tata Sky is changing the offer for the referral scheme. We are giving a new offer with the old offer discontinued. In the new scheme, the referrer will get Rs 200 cashback and also the referree will get a Rs 200 cashback and also a special discount on new HD connection.”
Under the referral program, Tata Sky subscribers with an active account status are eligible to refer a new customer for the purchase of a new Tata Sky HD connection. Upon referral by the Tata Sky subscriber, the prospective subscriber will be contacted by Tata Sky for their HD connection activation.
On successful referral, the prospective subscriber will get a discount on the purchase of a new Tata Sky HD connection. On successful activation, the subscriber who referred and the prospective subscriber will be eligible to get a cashback of Rs 200 in their Tata Sky account within one day of the activation.
The revised subscriber referral offer is active from 30 January 2020 00:00 AM. The new referral offer comes hardly within a week from the reduction of the price of a new HD connection. Tata Sky on Friday, had reduced the new HD connection price from Rs 1300 to Rs 1200.
