Tata Sky removes 8 channels from FTA Complimentary pack

These channels will continue to air on the platform, viewers who want to watch them have to subscribe to them on a-la-carté basis paying applicable NCF.

Direct to Home service provider Tata Sky has removed 8 channels from its FTA Complimentary Pack. The operator doesn’t count channels included in this complimentary pack against the Network Capacity Fee (NCF).

India News, India News UP/UK, India News MP/CH, Ishwar TV, Aastha, Sarthi TV, 9X Jalwa and Sahara Samay MP/CH are the channels belonging to Hindi News, Hindi Regional, Spiritual and Music genre which has been dropped from the FTA Complimentary pack.

These channels will continue to air on the platform, viewers who want to watch them have to subscribe to them on a-la-carté basis paying applicable NCF. Tata Sky frequently modifies their complimentary pack to change the channel composition, the latest modification has reduced free channels count without NCF from 160 to 152.

Earlier, the operator hiked new connection cost for HD and SD set-top boxes from Rs 1,399 to Rs 1,499 and launched ‘Tata Sky Only Box Offer‘ under which it will provide new connections through dealers at Rs 1,450 without Dish or LNB to reduce wastage.
