The Ministry, as of the end of March 2022, was sitting on 29 applications for MSO registration. The same dropped to 25 applications at the end of April 2022. As of the end of March 2022, the Ministry had approved 214 applications for MSO registration from 2019-20. The same jumped to 215 applications at the end of April 2022.

The Ministry received 314 cumulative applications for MSO registration at the end of April 2022 since 2019-20. As of the end of March 2022, the Ministry had received 312 cumulative applications since 2019-20.
The Ministry in April 2022 issued a fresh MSO license to Infotainment and Service Communications Private Limited. The Ministry additionally cancelled/closed the MSO registrations of Shivam Cable and Broadband Private Limited, Rallyon Technology, Panduranga Cable Network, and RK Digital Cable TV during the month.
