BARC WK 26: Hungama jumps over 3 spots to become the 2nd most watched Kids channel

Week 26 of BARC Ratings saw Hungama jump from 5th position in Kids genre to become the 2nd channel in Kids genre. Hungama leaped over Pogo TV, Sonic Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel to emerge as the 2nd most watched Kids channel behind Nick. English Movies, Lifestyle, Sports, English News, English Business News, and Youth genre saw no change in rankings while Music, Infotainment, and English Entertainment genre saw saw changes in ranking.

In Kids genre, Nick retained its leadership at 190819 (000s) impressions, while Hungama moved from 5th position to 2nd position at 144390 (000s) impressions. Hungama saw a major increase in impressions to leap over Pogo TV, Sonic Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. Pogo TV dropped to 3rd, while Disney Channel dropped down to 5th.

In Music genre, Mastiii regained its leadership with 126425 (000s) impressions dislodging B4U Music from the top spot sending it down to the 2nd position. 9XM, and MTV Beats held onto their respective positions at 3rd and 4th while Music India dropped out of Top 5 making way for Zoom.

In Infotainment genre, Discovery Channel maintained its leadership with 56147 (000s) impressions while History TV18, and Nat Geo Wild held onto their positions. Animal Planet jumped over National Geographic to the 3rd position, with NGC down to the 4rd position.

In English Entertainment genre, Comedy Central HD dislodged its Standard Definition feed to rise to number 1 rank with 927 (000s) impressions, while AXN dropped to 4th with Star World rising upto 3rd while Comedy Central dropped to 2nd. Colors Infinity SD entered Top 5 at 5th position while Disney International HD dropped out of the Top 5.

In English Movies genre, Star Movies retained its leadership at 17846 (000s) impressions, while Movies Now, Sony PIX, HBO and MNX retained their respective positions.

In Lifestyle genre, FYI TV18 maintained its leadership at 15940 (000s) impressions while TLC, Living Foodz, Food Food and Fox Life retained their respective positions.

In Sports genre, Star Sports 1 Hindi retained its leadership at 48237 (000s) impressions, while Sony TEN 1, Sony TEN 3, Star Sports 2, and Star Sports First maintained their respective positions.

In English News genre, Republic TV maintained its leadership at 3968 (000s) impressions, while Times Now, India Today Television, CNN News18, and DD India retained their respective positions.

In English Business News genre, CNBC TV18 retained its leadership with 605 (000s) impressions, while ET Now and CNBC TV18 Prime HD retained their respective positions.

In Youth genre, Zing retained its leadership at 83635 (000s) impressions, while MTV, E24, and MTV HD+ retained their respective positions.
