Firstly broadcasters need to stop overspending on buying rights of key sporting properties , this itself is an issue which causes sports broadcasters to find it difficult to arrive at viable business model and we r faced with watching cricket highlights across channels , paying more for channels, watching more ads.

Most importantly sure inflation related hikes is fine but same is not the case of what has been happening with increase in prices of channels done by broadcasters right from when NTO 1.0 came into effect. Broadcasters just don't seem to like NTO regulations hence implemented it in a way which gave an impression to viewers that price hikes is due to NTO which is completely untrue.

Lastly even if we assume that Pre NTO regulations were still in effect then too i strongly feel that with OTT/brooadband/ DD Free Dish gaining such strong momentum with each passing day....Broadcasters will continue to lose subscribers unless they provide good content to viewers and evolve their strategy to cater to both emerging and regular viewers of channels available across genres. English GEC, Niche channels still won't succeed even if Pre NTO regulations are into play and viewers get them at very low price within a bouquet unless content offered is good and connects with the audience. Gone r the days when people would just go for subscribing bouquet/ channels on DTH or Cable TV as there were limited or no other avenues to consume content, nowadays people divide spends very intelligently keeping in mind all the choices at hand
TRAI should not allow sports channels in basic packs of broadcasters as STAR (bought IPL rights with high cost) pushing sports channels in basic bouquets

I think only @dino29 did that.

Buddy, please don't attribute towards me anything when same is totally untrue. I never laughed or made fun of @Vadirocks anna post when he updated us about possible introduction of 30 day lock in period for standalone channels on Airtel Digital TV Platform rather i just stated out possibilities what may happen.

I never unnecessarily poke fun at others, that is not in my nature nor do i like it. I always stay on the topic and try to explain the same in detail which many members continuously make fun of and unfortunately no action is taken against them.

They will warn you

Warning is not solution. They should compulsory schedule removal on 30th day, not immediately remove. Otherwise If someone still removes it & add back later then customer is double charged for overlapping days.

Bro, by laughing he just meant not having trust in his source. Which only you didn't have. I also meant only that. I know and I have seen that you never poke fun on anyone in this forum.

Buddy atleast read the information posted in the screenshot which is there in the post u quoted, it clearly states that once a customer decides to drop the channel before 30 days then a message pops up that u can schedule the removal for the day after lock in period is completed. Once u press confirm channel will get dropped automatically on 31st day , till then u will continue to get the channel

Bro there is a huge difference between laughing at someone's post and voicing one's view while taking into consideration information provided by others. I did the latter.

Also regarding the trust part, i totally trust information provided by @Vadirocks anna and other such esteemed / credible members. Even when new members post such information, i never challenge them saying that u r wrong rather i present my viewpoint, but yes if some wrong information is listed out and i am sure about what exactly is the actual truth them i do try to correct the information provided by the concerned member

What you think that only you read? Nothing is clear from that screenshot. It only says we can schedule to remove. I can't see schedule option but remove option only. I cannot assume option which is not in screenshot. If remove option itself is 'scheduled to remove' then wording need to be changed by airtel.
