Breaking Airtel DTH has increased Lock In Period For A-La-carte to 30 days

I think new amended NTO 2.0 regulations allow operators to have 30 day lock in policy hence now we may see all DTH operators bringing this into effect in next few days

Nothing is changed regarding the lock in period, it was allowed previously as well.

A- la-Carte Channels added on/before 22 February will be charged on daily basis until dropped. And channels added on/after 23 February will be for minimum 30 days.
(Price for 30 days will be deducted as soon as channel is added , However U can drop it anyway but your money charged for monthly will not be refunded.)

Suppose someone add a channel on day 1 for which he is charged for 30 days, then he removes then channel on 5th days. Suppose he again add same channel on 10th days, then will he be charged again for 30days in advance ? it will be double deduction for 20days which was remaining if previous subscription is counted.

Star sports is master of that kind of arts.

They literally changes the channel in which they are airing ISL most of the time. Few weeks ago, when I tried to watch KBFC match in SS1, It was moved to SS2 due to some other matches (don't know whether highlights/live match) & If I remember correctly, the following week, I tried to watch the next match on SS2 & to my surprise, it was in SSS1.

Now with this 30 day lock in period, things will get tough! How in the world can I add & remove each and every star sports channels every week. This is the problem of having n number of channels.

Buddy firstly rather than indirectly making references to me please tag my user name. Also i was not defending anyone but rather presenting my viewpoint and what might get implemented, i never said what i have said would only come out true but just stated a possibility.

Now that Airtel Digital TV is implementing this 30 day lock in policy for standalone channels, i am certain other DTH Platforms will also do so in next few days. DTH Platforms mostly take a joint/unanimous decision on such things

Let's see but I feel airtel independently took the decision,other dth won't follow
