6 months price protection period ended on July 25 or maybe will on August 1 as TRAI Tariff Order formally came into effect w.e.f. 1st Feb 2019, mandatory transition for old long term pack users must be keeping in line with this. Airtel cannot avoid complying to guidelines hence no other option but to take this step

This order says, once the Customer has been moved to the new regime from his LDP and was given refund for the remaining LDP duration, he can't go back. TRAI issued an order on May 1st, asking the DPOs to migrate the LDP users (Who were forcefully migrated to the new regime before their LDP ended) back to their old plans, and TS filed a petition opposing the same, saying refunds were already issued to such customers and it'll be chaos to move them back. This order ruled against that.

DPOs still need to honor the LDPs of the customers, if they didn't issue the refund and moved them. I think customers need to send an advance note to TRAI and the DPO if he/she wants to continue till the end of validity. But there's nothing one can do, if the DPO still issues the refund and moves to the new regime.

Jio should save from these prices.
DTH portability should be introduced, once Jio starts their services.
TRAI is totally screwed up with these opertors, they given all rights to DTH and private operators, finally subscriber has to pay more. Even Airtel giving different type of packages with different type of prices. Like a lucky draw kind of, is these kind of offers allowed?. For example Telugu sd pack costs rs.279, some of customers are getting at Rs.208.(checked personally). And after hindi package Telugu pack is costly. Where as tamil pack(super star pack) is very cheaper with more channels.

Once moved to new regime, it's over. Anything we can do is before they move us.

Any idea you may have about the explanation Airtel has when asked as to how they prematurely ended the ARP when TRAI clearly mentions otherwise? Ofcourse, there is no discussion if Airtel says, "We change the packs the way we want to for are DTH subscribers"

My pack also got migrated this morning. They gave a refund of 225.71 rupees for the remaining 3 months. They have migrated the plan to AP HD Pack, which has 4 HD channels, Gemini, Zee Telugu, Zee Cinemalu and Living Foodz. Most of the telugu SD channels are also not coming.

I'm not going to follow up to question them for migrating me prematurely. The reason is, I have enjoyed far too many freebies, including so many HD channels for several months, thanks to all those free top up codes and I feel satisfied.

I'll choose my pack soon, as the best fit plan is ridiculous!
