Why is Airtel giving 265 FTA channels in their basic pack? Only 100 is required by TRAI order. Also FTA channels with more than 20% subscribers within an operator will have carriage fee waived. So why is Airtel giving away FTA channels and endangering their carriage fee revenue? In TRAI consultation document Airtel wanted broadcasters to reduce pay channel prices to very low levels and this may mean Airtel wants to fight pay channel broadcasters by promoting FTA channels?

I think we need to pay 165rs for 99 pack.

It is Decreasing as 99 pack MRP is 165 and now it is Rs 153

Cost was 165 including the regional add-on, if you don't take the regional add-on & activate any Ala-Carte channel then the rent was 109 & if you activate regional topups through self care then it was just 99. So, price of only basepack was 99 but now it's 153.
