Arasu cable to disconnect MEDIAPRO channels

Very weird to see that some people suddenly started to support SCV strongly and opposing Arasu in this community..:no

For those people, I'd like to say - you're on the wrong side..

You can try to pacify a common man of tamilnadu with 15+ year long monopoly & poor services of SCV..:no

Ultimately, a common man of tamilnadu would feel - It's the time to dethrone SCV and implement ARASU:tup

Yes SCV is monoploy! but it doesn't mean that Arasu is not monopoly! And just give a reason why should one blindly support Arasu?

And , the same LCO's gave their infrastructure and stand behind to support Arasu a year back to wipe out SCV from rest of the Tamil Nadu...But , now Arasu is working against LCO's!!!

The current government wanted the cable network industry to be nationalized so though Arasu looks like a Monopoly it isn't so, is TASMAC a monopoly? Is MTC (Chennai Govt Bus system) a monopoly?? Is Railways a monopoly? Arasu is not a Monopoly.

Arasu is a State owned corporation and SCV is a private owned company where the profit would go to a single individual, any profit earned by a state owned service would directly reach the public one way or the other. So even if Arasu hikes the price at a later time we cant do much regarding it as it would be for benefiting the public in general and this hike wouldn't be as high as a hike done by a private company.

LCO's are complaining that Arasu is creating new LCO's and calling this as illegal, but on my view LCO's are illegal by not subscribing to Arasu and also preventing new operators created by Arasu from entering into business.

Arasu has to take over the cable network business exactly the same way it took over the liquor business, in-fact for a state owned company Arasu is too late and too slow in its Chennai operations, i wish it takes-over Chennai cable network overnight before this new year and gives the public what they had promised during the elections.

LCO's in Chennai has to understand that cable tv business in TN has been nationalized and they have no option but to subscribe to Arasu and if they want to fight then they may do so in court and not by denying the public the quality service from Arasu.

First of all Arasu cable TV is a state company. Cable TV is not nationalized. Comparing Cable TV with Bus Service & Train is have any sense? And do you want to TASMAC shops also run for public service?!

For you Kind information Cable TV is not nationalized and cannot be nationalized with out central govt law...Check your facts before saying that Cable TV is nationalized...And not only LCO's of Chennai now against Arasu cable TV , now it is LCO's from other parts of Tamil Nadu...Read recent news regarding that...

Government to nationalise cable TV network in State - The Hindu

TASMAC funds are used to give freebies to public which was promised during the elections, i'm personally not happy with this and want these valuable funds be diverted to other useful projects like electricity, building dams and interlinking TN rivers.

When did LCO's start to care for public for public to care for them. They didn't even support their own people when TCCL was formed by a group of LCO's.

Arasu seems to be be the only solution at this point to solve this issue for the benefit of public as a whole.

In that above link

The government will nationalise private cable television network operations and revive Arasu Cable TV Corporation in public interest, said Governor Surjit Singh Barnala in his customary address to the Assembly on Friday.

But Did ever TN Govt said they have nationalized private cable television network operations??????? They just revived Arasu Cable TV Corporation...

First learn the meaning of nationalization...

As you compared Arasu Cable TV with Road Transport! I wounder whether you have ever visited other parts of Tamil Nadu!!! Apart from Chennai private buses are running!!

Cable network will be Nationalized (whether LCO's like it or not) as per the TN Governors speech in the TN assembly.

To mention transport at other places that would be a different comparison. I clearly mentioned MTC so why compare what happens elsewhere?

As per house md if mtc is not a monopoly then arasu is not monopoly. This may be ok for Chennai. But in other parts of Tamil Nadu private busses are running but only arasu is there. So arasu is a monopoly in other parts of Tamil Nadu.

FYI one private bus is running in Chennai on route no 54 from Broadway to poonamalle. Name is kalaivani.

If all the private players in the south start to prevent SETC from service or if they all form teams and start to loot public wealth then SETC would be forced too become a Government Monopoly.

You said it was nationalized !!! Now it will be nationalized !!! FYI , Cable TV business cannot be nationalized by State Govt....As all TV related business is comes under central govt - MIB...

What a logic man!! First of all , go and understand the Cable TV business...

Any MSO cannot sustain without LCOs...But now Arasu MSO is killing LCOs and Cable TV business...in Rest of Tamil Nadu many moved to DTH's , because of Arasu Cable TV.
