Discussion Audio issues on XStream Smart box [SOLVED]

Hello,

I just read the whole thread, I am looking to upgrade from Internet Box to Xstream. Can someone check if Amazon Prime casting from phone produces 5.1 audio?

5.1 works perfect in Internet Box for Amazon Prime App.

In artel xstram box if anybody want 5.1 on amazon and netflix. Change soundmode to manualand select your soundbar audio format.if your bar support dolby. All dolby formats turn on if ayatem support dts all dts formats enable.then restart you qill get 5.1

Netflix works fine. The issue is only with Amazon.

Finally.... Cut the lossess and eternal hopeless wish for any improvement in the airtel xstream box.... Thrown it to the bin and moved onto total OTT with mibox 4k with apps for dth channels.... Better late than never.....

Still people are falling to this garbage box which takes people for a ride by just giving 2 ch audio in dolby digital format and thinking people will b happy to listen to it

It feels so good. I finally returned frustrating Xtreme box and got back my HD DVR. I feel HD DVR is better in many ways than Xtreme box.

1. Dolby audio from HD channels is already there. You don't need Xtreme box here.

2. Favourites options. This is very important to me. I can't remember all the channel numbers and it's very annoying to skip each and every unsubscribed channel to get to your desired channel. Xtreme box fails in this. Even its remote app has no option to store your subscribed channels. HD DVR fairs better in this category. Though its annoying to have to go to settings and select 1of4 users, but no better option as of now.

3. Recording. Xtreme box hasn't introduced it yet. Its very useful to pause, rewind live TV and record some programs.

4. OTT apps: Airtel expert said issue is with Amazon prime. So it's not going to be rectified any sooner. If your smart TV have these OTT apps, using ARC cable to home theatre will help. Or a dedicated device like chromecast sounds better than Xtreme box, atleast for now. I use PS3 for OTT.

My suggestion for HD DVR users considering to upgrade to Xtreme box is, to stay put and enjoy your DVR. It's lot better than Xstream box in many ways.

So True...Xtreme box sucks in many ways.
