some dish tv fans are spreading this news that nat geo music and baby tv are available in hd in dish tv which is absolutely falsse. actually from broadcaster end these two channels r telecasted only in hd format, there is no standard definition feed run for these channel just like there is no standard definition feed for trace sports, movies now,utv stars. so what operators do is that they demodulate these hd feeds and run it in standard definition format just like airtel is running trace sports in 16:9 aspect ratio(they can easily also run kit in letter box format like they r running movies now on ch 197 or history tv 18 on ch 348). also baby tv is being run by videocon d2h in 16:9 aspect ratio. so plz note that nat geo music and baby tv r being run in standard definition format in dish tv just like trace sports is being run in airtel and baby tv in videocon d2h

actually for some people in another forum , without any logic whenever they see anything in 16:9 picture format , they just term it as hd. so if tomorrow some sd ch starts in wide screen aspect ratio then they will say oh wow dish tv added another hd channel or say dish tv adds trace sports which is a hd channel from broadcaster end but ops like airtel r telecasting it in sd format but as they r being telecasted in 16:9 aspect ratio so i guess these people will call that a hd channel too

You can differenciate easily seeing the snapshot posted by a member.

This is attention seeking thread to utilize weekend. For the thread starter and for anyone else this is not a breaking news first of all. Thread starter knows it as he is much more learnt person in area of dth knowledge. Everyone knows ngc music and baby tv both were among one of those fake hd channels initially and now ngc music has hd feeb while baby tv still remains sd. As far as i know on nov 1st itself hd feed of baby tv has been launched in india before that it wasn't even available.
Baseless threads are open to attract traffic on those days when there is not much of real breaking news...
