BCCIs Media Rights value never going down and BCCI doesn't care about gain/lost money for previous Rights holders or share with DDFD. Viacom18 bid for both exclusive India/Global Media Rights, still Viacom may fail if Sony and Zee getting Rights from other strategic way. Unless BCCIs Jay Shah/Jio not against Star's tactics this time, then Star will looking for Repeat ICC Media Rights and previous circle BCCI Global Media Rights strategies, later splitting Rights and Sublicensing for other media houses.
STAR's Global bid tactics not successful in e-auction for every region/digital/satellite. Money/Higher bid will be deciding factor in e-auction.

Zee/Sony, Fancode know aggressive bid in e auction won't work anymore, that's why these players going slow in auction and Sublicensing which ooverall helps rights holder.

I think Rights holder cant be sublicensing of BCCI/IPL matches like ICC tournaments.

Even rights holder know they won't recover any investment on BCCI media Rights, Nimbus/Neo and Star dominated on Sublicensing and syndication business. That's how Jio TV got BCCIs Digital rights from Star, outside Indian subcontinent plenty of Broadcasters getting BCCIs home Rights through Star's syndication.

this time friends like Star/Jio Viacom18 are dushmans each other, Star's old dushmans Airtel and Zee now friends. I don't think airtel interested in sports Media Rights like Jio, already airtel in trouble let's see airtel give counter attack for IPL/Jio.

Rajesh Kaul, head of sports business, Sony Pictures Networks India, said the company is keen to acquire the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) bi-lateral cricket rights while maintaining fiscal prudence.

“We will definitely go for the BCCI media rights. We will do our analysis when they (BCCI) come out with the tender, and then we will put whatever is the fair price for the rights,” Kaul added.

As per only tech post hotstar Remove indian matches
Hope same happen for star sports channel they also remove indian cricket team highlights 24x7 from their star channel.

Only blessings in disguise for star currently ipl happening so indian cricket team matches now less preference and till rights re purchase they can manage by showing ipl highlights
