As per my knowledge only SUN NEWS available for some period not SUN TV.

According to some forum members Sun TV was available around 2007 onwards. But got removed in later years. Back than cable got affordable in rural areas.

Yes earlier suntv available on dd fd,during its launch and still remain there four five years,not only suntv,Kalaginar Tv,Kairali Tv,Ntv news,abn andhra jyoti too were available on dd fd.

North viewers are cost conscious. In Hindi states even rich people go for DD FreeDish. Sun Direct's low NCF is helping it's grow it's presence. Watch the ODF episode of Panchayat webseries. You will see entire village has Sun Direct. I have noticed this while travelling via train in Bengal too.

True. I noticed this in travel to Raj-UP border district and discuss here in forum too. People are shifting to SunDirect as well majorly in rural areas.
