no news of bindass converting to star utsav 2 nor has it bid for a slot on DD Free Dish. Star Utsav 2 might be a dummy name for a new channel or maybe a 2.0 feed of Star Utsav Movies which may be made available on Pay TV Platforms when Star Utsav Movies airs select IPL matches

So Star Utsav 2 licence is held under Disney India company which means either it will continue as a music channel and will be added on DD Free Dish.....it may also be converted into a youth channel and be available on Pay TV platforms and DD Free Dish too ....3rd option is that it may converted into a kids movie channel and be available on various platforms.


As licence of this channel is not being held under Star India company name hence one can safely rule out that a regular Hindi GEC, Movie channel will be launched.....previously too Disney-Star chose its appropriate subsidiary company to get a new license or rename existing one to launch / rebrand channel in respective genre . UTV Movies, UTV Action still lying idle as for Star Gold Romance / Thrills Disney-Star used Star World HD and a new license as it needed to be launched Star India company branding. Baby TV HD too lying idle which later on may be used to launch either FYI or new science / investigation based channel from National Geographic branding . UTV HD licence was used for launching Disney Channel HD as both needed to be held under Disney India company name

It's indication of Disney India Company merge with Star India, all their Indian subsidiary Studios/TV channels amalgamation with Star India umbrella.

Already Asianet star communication Amalgamated, Now legal/licensing procedure and channel additions doesn't take much time. likely new entity shutdown few low ratings channels and less focus on content acquisition. Probably If they continue Studios Content/Sports Licensing renewals with Times network, Shemaroo, Zee, Netflix, Fancode likely increase their revenue.
