I just bought Videocon d2h last week with platinum HD pack.
From the first day I'm having a 11 digit no GUGHOBUTT something like this comes up on the screen in different parts at 5 min intervals,stays for 10 sec then disappears and again comes back in 5 min.
Does anybody know what it is. Anyone experiencing the same issue. The guys at Videocon seem clueless. Two engineers came said they don't know what it is.
It's very annoying sometimes it comes bang in the center of the screen.
Any help will be appreciated

But it shouldn't keep on coming every 5 min
That's annoying .
And different people at Videocon customer care are giving different answers.
One guy even told me confidently it's your TVs fault. Like really my TV started giving me problems cos I switched to d2h.
I asked him I'll call my TVs service guy if it isn't TVs fault will u pay his fees then the had no answer.

How to find out
M a little new to this so don't know

Vc no. is your customer identity like your mobile no. company will know you by this no. vc no. always display to your TV screen in all channel.

Yeah I read the thread
So this stb fingerprinting is this permanent
Will it keep coming always or will reduce with time
Like once or twice a day is alright but every 5 min is stretching it I feel
