@Anish Pai bro It doesn't say anything about choice bro. It says pay 130, where does it say they will charge NCF according to the consumer's choice. On the other hand look at the below pic shared in another thread.

In the pic, Siti Cable says, 130 is mandatory and just for telugu SD channels, consumer needs to pay 244.

I don't have any confusion w.r.t TRAI order. The order has the provision that allows DPOs to charge NCF at channel level or bouquet level. However, I doubt if that will be followed properly. People like us who follow forums like this with lot of understanding are banging our heads. Moreover, we are using DTH, which are sophisticated and have websites through which we can do whatever we want with the knowledge we have. What about people living in villages/rural areas? They will just have to follow what their cable operator says. Above pic is a classic example of what's going to happen in villages. They are gonna charge them like anything for just the basic channels. God save those people.

Agreed. Rs 130 basic pack is not mandatory at all. TRAI says u can choose any pack of broadcaster or DPO or Pay/FTA Alacarte or combination of all.
Rs 130 is one of the packs which has 100 FTA channels, that doesnt mean all have to take that pack.

We will have to pay NCF per channel/pack, and not Rs 130 as standard. This article u quoted is misleading . TRAI must take action on such articles.
What fastway is doing is a per TRAI order and is charging NCF per channel

I have been tweeting TRAI since yesterday about this. I tweeted this pic also today to their handle. I did not get any response. This is very serious concern and they must address it immediately.

There are chances of people being misled. People need to be told that FTA pack of Rs 130 having 100 FTA channels is one of the base packs, and not mandatory. They can take any channel they want and have to pay that price + NCF (per channel or per pack)

Rs 130 is scaring the people.

TRAI has to release News paper/TV ads starting tomorrow, saying 130 is not mandatory. This is the need of the hour!

NCF isn't per channel, it is for slabs of channels like initial 100 and then on 25 channels, What Fastway is doing, I feel, is that they're are charging NCF as 80 and not 130, and potching it to be .8 per channel, the same way like colors is pitching it's bouquet to be ₹1per day

Also mass tweet needed for sun network to reduce there sun packs
Mass tweets wont help, but mass boycott of their pay channels and bouquets for a month after the implementation of the tariff order will force them to lower the prices to less than half. Because for the broadcasters the main source of revenue is from sponsorship of advertisers not money they get from the viewers, but if viewership of their channel drops due to price, the advertiser will reduce sponsoring its shows. So just don't subscribe to high priced channels and bouquets and the prices will automatically get lowered.

Yes they have kept it at Rs 80 instead of the max Rs 130.

Why should a person who just wants 25 channels pay Rs 130 ??? Instead he should pay NCF only for 25 channel's, this is mentioned in the order. NCF can be per channels based also.

People Regular getting it wrong and confusion is there.
