@Anish Pai bro It doesn't say anything about choice bro. It says pay 130, where does it say they will charge NCF according to the consumer's choice. On the other hand look at the below pic shared in another thread.
In the pic, Siti Cable says, 130 is mandatory and just for telugu SD channels, consumer needs to pay 244.
I don't have any confusion w.r.t TRAI order. The order has the provision that allows DPOs to charge NCF at channel level or bouquet level. However, I doubt if that will be followed properly. People like us who follow forums like this with lot of understanding are banging our heads. Moreover, we are using DTH, which are sophisticated and have websites through which we can do whatever we want with the knowledge we have. What about people living in villages/rural areas? They will just have to follow what their cable operator says. Above pic is a classic example of what's going to happen in villages. They are gonna charge them like anything for just the basic channels. God save those people.
Agreed. Rs 130 basic pack is not mandatory at all. TRAI says u can choose any pack of broadcaster or DPO or Pay/FTA Alacarte or combination of all.
Rs 130 is one of the packs which has 100 FTA channels, that doesnt mean all have to take that pack.
We will have to pay NCF per channel/pack, and not Rs 130 as standard. This article u quoted is misleading . TRAI must take action on such articles.
What fastway is doing is a per TRAI order and is charging NCF per channel
