Yes they have kept it at Rs 80 instead of the max Rs 130.

Why should a person who just wants 25 channels pay Rs 130 ??? Instead he should pay NCF only for 25 channel's, this is mentioned in the order. NCF can be per channels based also.

People Regular getting it wrong and confusion is there.
In the tariff order, it is stated that NCF upto initial 100 channels shouldn't be more than ₹130, hence NCF is for slabs of channels and not individual channels

I don't have any confusion w.r.t TRAI order. The order has the provision that allows DPOs to charge NCF at channel level or bouquet level. However, I doubt if that will be followed properly. People like us who follow forums like this with lot of understanding are banging our heads. Moreover, we are using DTH, which are sophisticated and have websites through which we can do whatever we want with the knowledge we have. What about people living in villages/rural areas? They will just have to follow what their cable operator says. Above pic is a classic example of what's going to happen in villages. They are gonna charge them like anything for just the basic channels. God save those people.

I read it bro.

Provided that the network capacity fee, per month, for network capacity upto initial one hundred SD channels, shall, in no case, exceed rupees one hundred and thirty, excluding taxes:

It says that DPO can charge Rs 130 max upto first 100 SD channels. So that doesnt mean if i take less than 100 i should pay Rs 130, no where it says that

And no where does it say that the DPO can't define their own slabs per channel or per bouquet. As long as they follow the rules of not exceeding 130 for initial 100 channels and 20 for subsequent 25 channels, DPO can define their own NCF slabs is my understanding!

Every distributor of television channels shall declare network capacity fee, per month, payable by a subscriber for availing a distribution network capacity so as to receive the signals of television channels.

Also there are around 30 mentions of network capacity in the tariff order, go through every point to get it clear.

Yes, if DPO wants they can charge Rs 1 or Rs 0.50 or Rs xyz per channel for 1st 100 SD channels that customer opts for, and same way again for next 25 channels after initial 100 SD channels.

This is exactly how it should be and I remember reading about this in some article.
