I think many channel are going to be close in future due to less subscription. No one will waste money on shopping channels, small news channels etc.

As per today's Malayalam daily there is no change in deadline(Feb 1) of trai's new rule. The title says 'Only 10 days left for choosing channels'.And the article describes the procedure and tarrif system. Also it says only 10% data collection is completed till now.

This trai rule is all to setup a base for jiofibre just like Jio. Monthly price is going to be high and Jio fibre will provide the same around ₹250-300..so again people will move to jio.
