Nope, those two channels are also producing voice from front speakers. Checked by muting the center channel.

These channels, particularly Star Plus HD, are the perfect 5.1. They will give 5.1 sound even for serials. Sound will come from front speakers based on the scene.

But in Sun TV HD, always the sound will come in front speakers and never in center speakers for serials.

In Sun Music HD, for some songs, they are providing 2.1 only (no sound in center speaker). Also, when VJ is speaking the audio will be from center speaker only. Only few songs are in perfect 5.1

Yeah, they fixed the issue on Gemini HD and hopefully they will improve the other channels too.

On a side note, as I mentioned earlier even on Star Plus HD the voice always come in front speakers too without any dependency on the scene. But it'll be louder on center speaker and we won't feel like it's coming from front speakers unless we mute the center. I think this is the behavior of 5.1 on DTH.

Yeah, they fixed the issue on Gemini HD and hopefully they will improve the other channels too.

Prema Kavali is advertised as HD and Dolby Digital Plus audio but it's not.

Ha ha ha.... [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] Is this some technical glitch? They are able to do it for some movies and not for some.

To my knowledge, they need to run the source through some technical mechanism to produce HD video and 5.1 sound which definitely involve some cost.... But, in this case there cane be one of the below 2 issues:
1. The source is bad and they are not able to produce 5.1 sound using the source..
2. The mechanism have some issue running the source properly..

Either case, its upto the broadcaster to ensure to get the right source with right data and to have a right mechanism to produce the output..

Hmm. At least they are trying and hence we are getting it right for some movies. For instance, 1 Nenokkadine was awesome yesterday.
