@ilikered based on my exp after extensive testing I will recommend you to change the physical connections as follows connect your stb and av receiver using a coaxial in or optical in
your received supports both if you have not connected other components .

I am also using HDMI cable from STB to AVR and I have no issues with any other HD channels but as ilikered mentioned I could hear sound only from center speaker for Gemini HD

I have three other components going in to the receiver, so it's practically difficult to change the connection. But anyway, I think it's not a problem with how the connections are since it's only with this channel. It must be a broadcast level issue.

D2H guys called me and I explained him the problem; after few minutes techincal guy from d2h guy called me again and he was under impression that Gemini HD is telecasting all programs and movies in HD. I explained him the problem and he said he would escalate it to higher officials and will come back with an update. Please push it hard guys... we need to make this happen

Gemini HD is now added to all platforms(except for Reliance which can be ignore) and its time for them to show HD content all the time.... btw, I have just called d2h for an update and they said its with QC department and they will get back to me soon.

Yeah, I have created a thread in dish TV section to check if the problem is there for them. I'm still waiting for an update from airtel.

d2h guys visited my home and took some pics and videos and observed the difference between gemini HD and other HD channels... Lets see what they would do

Excellent. I think if it's resolved on one dth, it'll be resolved in all. I'm still waiting for confirmation from dish TV users. No one has responded yet.
