Does HD Box helps improve SD Quality as well?

Hello Folks!

Does an HD Box only offers an access to the HD Content, OR, even helps somewhat to improve the SD Channels quality as well!?

In nutshell(in a general sense), what goes an ASPECT Ratio of an SD & an HD Box for the Standard Definition of Picture Signal!?

i dont know about all dth but in my d2h it improved ...

yes it improves a lot as the connection happens through HDMI port rather than audio video inputs
